For YJs looking to add about two and a half inches the Rubicon Express RE5505 2.5″ Lift is a great kit. This is a complete kit, from the leaf springs (nothing will make your 20+ year old Wrangler ride smooth like new leaf springs and shocks) to the brake line extensions, bushings and new ubolts. This kit is a great upgrade if you’ve got worn factory leaf springs and shocks.
Cons:
Often there isn’t enough space between the rear shocks and your rear axle. This isn’t necessarily a fault of this kit, but is a natural effect of raising the jeep, and increasing the angles (pinion angle specifically). There are a couple of ways to do this – you can mount the shocks upside down (this will greatly reduce the life and effectiveness of these shocks), or you can buy shock extensions like the RE2007. If you encounter this issue then you should buy the extensions (they’re cheap).
If you want to go the extra yard with this lift, then look into getting a SYE (slip yoke elimator) and a new rear driveshaft. This will allow you to throw away the included transfer case lowering kit and get an inch or two more ground clearance.
