Mopar Stage 3

The Mopar Stage 3 (also called series 3) 3 inch lift kit is a monster of a lift kit. You really can’t get more complete than this – but at three thousand dollars you’d expect nothing less than a complete kit! Since this kit is official Mopar gear, you won’t be voiding any warranties, and you can often have this installed by dealers at the same time you buy your Jeep.

The good things about the Mopar Stage 3:

The shocks are top of the line remote reservoir – you really can’t do better than these fox shocks, and they should last for years. Another big plus for this kit are the limiting straps, these aren’t something you typically see in a lift kit, and a welcome addition (limiting straps will keep your suspension from extending too far and having the coil simply fall off the Jeep. This limiting strap will keep the front driveshaft from making contact with the exhaust (and keep you from having to replace your exhaust!)

One of the things that really get me about the kit are the fit and finish. You get high quality silver and black equipment (no crazy colors – all very professional looking). With this kit you’re really replacing everything in your suspension, save the axles.

The cons of the Mopar Stage 3:

The control arms aren’t adjustable, meaning you can’t dial them in to the length you want. If they fit well and all the angles line up then you’re good to go, but if not then you’re out of luck. I’d put money on them being fine though – since they were developed by Mopar engineers. Another con for this kit are that the swaybar links don’t disconnect. This isn’t a big deal, but would be nice in a pricey kit.
